In a further partnership with the "Houses of Hope", a school building was constructed in the Mopti region of Mali. In 2011, the association actively extended its reach in the rural regions, building two modern schools.

 

On the strength of this positive experience and after receiving several requests from villages which only had rudimentary school buildings made from straw and plastic sheeting, the association embarked on its next school project in 2015. The village of Barbé Plateau with 154 school children was selected.

 

The Foundation contributed to the preliminary finance, as a result of which it was possible to raise additional donations. With its three classrooms, the school building was completed within only six months after the commencement of funding, after which it went into operation and received government recognition. The headmaster and teachers are paid by the state.
